About Gospel Outbound
Greetings,
Gospel Outbound is a Ugandan Church with a divine directive to focus on missions training and sending in Uganda, Africa and beyond.
About missions in this area, a quote from the renowned missions prayer resource, Operation World, highlights the significance of God’s calling to catalyze missions in this area. They report: “Missions Vision in the Ugandan Church – A large, strong church that has endured suffering, combined with Uganda’s geographical position next to several needy nations, make mission potential enormous. But this potential is still largely untapped due to lack of awareness and structures. Few Ugandan cross-cultural ministries exist…”
How important and exciting is it to be called to be part of waking up a country to its Great Commission mandate to the nations?
Because our Lord Jesus instructs us to care for the poor, we also pay school fees for orphans in Uganda and South Sudan, provide mosquito nets in refugee camps, and empower poor families in our ministry areas through business empowerment.
God has given Gospel Outbound and our partners a critical task. I pray you will join us in this vital work.
For His glory,
Emmy Lakor
VISION
Our vision is to see exponentially expanding disciple-making and church-planting movements across North Africa and beyond by the power of God and for His glory.
MISSION
Through our weekly radio programming, we realize our vision by focusing on DMM Training (Disciple Making Movements) on the ground in villages and airwaves. From here, we train multiplying leaders who propagate multiplying disciples and churches. Additionally, we support orphan education and mosquito net distribution and provide training in work empowerment.
HISTORY
Gospel Outbound was founded in 1997 as a 501(c)(3) Christian missions agency to support, through finances and short-term mission trips, a ministry in the highlands of Guatemala. We expanded across the globe to include evangelistic and compassion-focused outreach in Myanmar, India, and Uganda. Most recently, our main focus has been to work with Ugandan, South Sudan, Sudan, and U.S. churches to help them engage, to a greater degree, in discipleship and ministry to the unreached and disadvantaged.
